The Airline Improvement District’s Service Plan is to address relevant issues to both businesses and residents within the boundaries of the District. The priorities of the District were formed through a series of public meetings conducted by area business and community leaders by the Airline Drive Community Plan Vision team in 2005 prior to the creation of the District. Many of the goals of the District were set forth in the Airline Community Revitalization Plan which was completed in April of 2006 by the Harris County Economic Development Department in collaboration with State Representative Kevin Bailey, District 140; Harris County Precinct One Commissioner El Franco Lee and the residents and business partners of the Airline Community.

The goal of the District is to address public safety, transportation and mobility, planning and infrastructure, parks and recreation space, business and economic development services as well as enhancing the District’s image. These services are fostered by optimizing the services that are provided in the area by local government entities as well as funded through the District itself.
